Changes to Dental Examination Passed

Among other changes, the Dental Examination is now to be one developed by the American Board of Dental Examiners, Inc. rather than an independent state-developed practical or clinical examination. Additionally, the category of dental school from which dentists may have graduated prior to applying for licensure was broadened to include any accrediting entity recognized by the United States Department of Education. Finally, the 10 year limitation within which the applicant could sit for the Florida Dental exam if the applicant had taken and passed the National Board of Dental Examiners dental exam was abolished. An applicant may still sit for the Florida exam if they have taken and passed the National Board of Dental Examiners exam.
