Dentists Now Have a Broader Definition of "Health Access Setting"

The definition of "health access setting" in which a dental hygienist may perform his/her duties has been broadened to include more types of facilities, including programs or institutions of the Department of Children and Family Services, the Department of Health, the Department of Juvenile Justice, nonprofit community health centers, Head Start centers, federally qualified health center, school based prevention programs, clinics operated by accredited college of dentistry, or dental hygiene program with certain requirements.
